My Approach

Being a Queer & Trans affirmative therapist, I believe in a multi cultural, inclusive and empowering approach in my work and life. I like to implement an eclectic approach to psychotherapy.

The treatment/intervention model that I offer is tailored to the client’s individual needs. Broadly, my therapeutic approach draws on psychodynamic, family systems, and existential ideas. I like to do more of emotion focused, trauma informed and insight oriented therapeutic work which enables the clients to become more conscious of their life choices and barriers.

Pride Flags

I have experience of working with adults on inter and intra-psychic difficulties, issues regarding gender and sexuality, body image concerns, self esteem, adjustment issues, grief, trauma (childhood abuse, neglect, violence, difficult attachment bonds, betrayal trauma etc), couple dynamics (communication, intimacy, infidelity, relational and sexual dynamics). I am also trained and experienced in working with various psychiatric conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, Phobias, Adjustment disorders, Panic disorder, OCD, Sexual dysfunctions, PTSD, Substance use disorders and Addictions.

Humans are complex and dynamic creatures and so are their experiences and relationships. Hence, I try to create a space which is safe and supportive for you to open up about your experiences and journeys so far. I am an advocate of the concept of wellness instead of illness. I believe in promoting recovery and resilience in individuals by building an open, honest and genuine therapeutic alliance. But, it is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client(s) and therapist alike.

I work together with my clients to determine what is working well for them, what may need to be adjusted, or look at areas of their life that may need to be different for their emotional well-being and relational satisfaction. The journey towards healing, growth and eventually thriving is all about: Unlearning, Re-educating, Shifting, Expanding and, finally BECOMING.
