Providing specialized assistance through education, training and feedback that is work-focused and which supports, develops and evaluates the work of colleague(s), subordinates, students and trainees. Supervision enhances supervisees' skills, competence and confidence while providing a reflective space and emotional support which ultimately aids professional development and ethical competence.
